It\u2019s still hard to believe Scotland are just a win away
\nfrom the World Cup given what we witnessed on Saturday night – and given what
\nthe fans have watched over the past three qualifiers.<\/p>\n

The last time Steve Clarke\u2019s side played at home, they were
\nbooed off despite beating Belarus 2-1 – a result that looks a good one now
\nafter the Belarusians’ surprise draw with Denmark on Saturday.<\/p>\n

That, of course, means Scotland welcome the Danes to Hampden
\nfor a winner-takes-all showdown on Tuesday night. The old bowl will be
\nabsolutely bouncing for it, but can Clarke\u2019s men take advantage of a golden
\nopportunity? <\/p>\n

Their performance level must improve, that\u2019s for sure. Anything
\nclose to a repeat of their first-half showing in Athens on Saturday and they
\ncan forget about automatic qualification.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
