{"id":1379,"date":"2025-11-17T18:57:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T18:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/outdoorthrill.cfd\/?p=1379"},"modified":"2025-11-17T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T18:57:16","slug":"emma-raducanu-pulls-out-of-us-exhibition-matches-with-foot-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/outdoorthrill.cfd\/?p=1379","title":{"rendered":"Emma Raducanu pulls out of US exhibition matches with foot issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Emma Raducanu has pulled out of two exhibition matches in the United States next month because of a minor foot issue.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The British number one has light bone bruising in her right foot, but she is able to practise and is soon expecting to travel to Barcelona for a pre-season training block.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Preparations for next season will be overseen in Spain by coach Francisco Roig, who began working with Raducanu in August.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 23-year-old Raducanu has spent part of this month training at the National Tennis Centre in London and will now be able to focus entirely on the overseas camp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Not having to play two exhibition matches nearly a month before the start of the new season is a way of reducing the load on her foot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Raducanu also has a new physiotherapist, Emma Stewart, who used to work for the WTA Tour before joining the men&#8217;s squad at British Rowing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Stewart will travel to some events next year and, in the short term, also take control of Raducanu&#8217;s strength and conditioning programme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emma Raducanu has pulled out of two exhibition matches in the United States next month because of a minor foot issue.
