That said, there was a clear uptick in performance when the stars of this season – mainly Elijah Just and Lucas Fadinger – came on.<\/p>\n
Askou’s side have scored 31 goals in the league this season. It’s the fifth-most potent attack in the league, but they trail Hibs by seven goals in that regard.<\/p>\n
However, in the league, they are almost exactly matching their xG. It’s not about the number of chances they create, but the quality of those chances.<\/p>\n
Maswanhise almost had Motherwell ahead earlier on when he blasted past Carson, but Alex Iacovitti was somehow able to clear off the line.<\/p>\n
But there was a sense that the ball wasn’t always falling for them in the box, even after all their hard work on the right-hand side.<\/p>\n
