Ajax are in talks over a loan move for <\/b>Arsenal<\/b> defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Ukraine international is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest in a deal that expires at the end of the season, but BBC Sport revealed on Wednesday that the City Ground club were exploring terminating the agreement early.<\/p>\n

However, Zinchenko’s proposed return to the Gunners has been complicated by the fact the loan does not include a mechanism that allows the deal to be ended early.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Arsenal view their squad as full so are unwilling to approve Forest’s request to end the agreement now.<\/p>\n

The onus has been on Forest to find Zinchenko, 29, another club if they were to offload the ex-Manchester City defender.<\/p>\n

If all parties agree to a switch to Ajax, Zinchenko will officially return to Arsenal before heading straight out to Amsterdam.<\/p>\n

Zinchenko joined Forest on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day last summer but he has struggled to make an impact, only starting four Premier League games.<\/p>\n

He will leave Arsenal at the end of the season when his contract expires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
