The 25-year-old is Victoria’s leading wicket taker in this season’s Sheffield Shield – Australia’s premier first-class competition – with 28 from five matches.<\/p>\n
He is the son of former Australia and Glamorgan opening batter Matthew Elliott, who had two spells with the Welsh county during the 2000s.<\/p>\n
Glamorgan want to add to their pace bowling attack before starting their County Championship Division One season at home to Yorkshire on Friday, 3 April.<\/p>\n
Elliott’s availability would make him an attractive signing, as he would be able to play in Glamorgan’s six Championship matches before fellow Australian Nathan McAndrew arrives for the T20 Blast.<\/p>\n
Elliott has also played T20 cricket – for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash – but he has primarily been targeted to bolster Glamorgan’s four-day attack.<\/p>\n
He has some notable red-ball scalps to his name in his homeland, having dismissed players such as Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne during this season’s Sheffield Shield.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
