Bristol Bears have signed versatile back-row forward Ethan Staddon from West Country rivals Bath for the 2026-27 season.<\/b><\/p>\n

Staddon has made 36 appearances for Bath, scoring five tries, and was a key part of the side that won the Prem Rugby Cup last season as they went on to win a trio of trophies.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old, who typically plays at flanker but can also feature in the second row, made his debut in December 2020 having come through Bath’s academy. <\/p>\n

He has also represented England at under-20 level and is the first player the Bears have confirmed they have brought in for next season.<\/p>\n

“Ethan is a player we’ve admired for a long time,” said Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam., external<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

“He has tremendous potential and genuine versatility, with the ability to make an impact right across the back row – something that’s particularly valuable within our smaller squad.<\/p>\n

“He’s driven, coachable and fully committed to improving and performing at the highest level.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
