West Ham v Man City (Sat, 20:00 GMT)
Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on whether he feels the new players’ lack of experience in Europe was a factor in the midweek defeat after midfielder Bernardo Silva described the team as being “shellshocked”: “I didn’t read that comment but I am pretty sure that Bernardo and Ruben [Dias] wouldn’t talk about the other not having experience. I don’t have the feeling.
“The time between the first goal and the second goal we conceded, we had the threat, we arrived five times at the byline but we missed the pass in that moment. We were more aggressive without the ball, we were really good, we went over the situations.
“Like Ruben and Bernardo said, they are emotionally involved in the moments of the game because in the Premier League they have time and fixtures but in the FA Cup and Champions League you are out or whatever.
“This competition they have these threats where they don’t need much. The amount of good things we have done to score goals and they scored with the chances they had. It is what it is.”
