Ollie Thorley: Gloucester winger signs new deal with club

Gloucester wing Ollie Thorley has signed an extended deal to stay beyond the end of this season.

The 29-year-old has spent his whole career with the Cherry and Whites, having come through their academy to surpass 150 games, scoring 52 tries.

He returned this season having missed most of 2024-25 with a serious knee injury and has started all 15 games he has played this campaign.

“He’s fully, fully committed to the club, puts his body on the line, loves it here,” head coach George Skivington told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

“He’s a massive part of the environment – he really drives the feel-good factor when the boys need it and he’s also happy to step up and say when the boys might need a bit of keeping in check.

“He’s a brilliant individual, wears his heart on his sleeve, gives everything for the club and he’s got plenty more good years left in him yet, so really fortunate he’s decided to stay.”
