‘Tough’ Wales hooker Brodie Coghlan signs new Dragons contract

Wales hooker Brodie Coghlan aims to “take the next step” with Dragons after signing a new two-year contract.

Coghlan made his debut for the Rodney Parade club in December 2022 and has established himself in the side over the past two seasons while Elliot Dee has suffered injury misfortune.

The 25-year-old from Newport’s displays earned a first Wales call-up in the autumn and he made his international debut off the bench against New Zealand before also facing South Africa.

“Brodie has always displayed a tough, confrontational edge and physical style of play, while also significantly improving his accuracy around set-piece,” said forwards coach Sam Hobbs.

“Having had a taste of international rugby in the autumn, we know how motivated Brodie is to gain further experiences and success at Dragons.”
