Dean Elgar last played for Somerset in 2017, scoring 640 runs, averaging 40, but also played in 2013, when many fans will remember his incredible partnership with Roelof van der Merwe v Surrey back in the days when August saw top level white ball cricket.
He has played and missed multiple times again in Craig Overton’s most recent maiden over.
Somerset saw a massive number of play and misses in their first innings at Taunton v Notts last week, and it is looking similar now both seamers have settled in now.
