Charlton Athletic secured Championship survival thanks to stunning strikes from Charlie Kelman and Jayden Fevrier as they beat Hull City at The Valley.
Kelman curled a sumptuous effort into the top corner to give the Addicks the lead before John Egan headed Hull level in the seventh minute of first-half added time.
The Tigers were much improved after the break, spurred on by the introduction of Mohamed Belloumi off the bench, but the hosts retook the lead when Fevrier darted past two challenges to fire beyond Ivor Pandur into the bottom corner.
Paddy McNair missed a big chance late on after Addicks keeper Thomas Kaminski made a mess of his attempt to claim a long throw but the former Middlesbrough defender could not get the desired connection on his volley.
With Pandur scrambling back after going up for a Hull corner, Fevrier ran the length of the pitch and almost scored a stunning second goal, however hie shot was brilliantly cleared off the line by Kyle Joseph.
The result, coupled with West Bromwich Albion’s draw with Ipswich Town, confirms Oxford United’s relegation to League One ahead of their match against Sheffield Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Hull miss the chance to climb back into the play-off spots, with Wrexham facing champions Coventry City on Sunday.
