Armand Duplantis – pole vault world record holder set for London 2026 Diamond League

World record holder Armand Duplantis has confirmed he will return to the London Stadium for the first time in eight years when he competes at the London Diamond League in July.

The Swede, a two-time Olympic gold medallist in the pole vault, has won multiple titles at world and European level.

Duplantis, 26, has broken the pole vault world record 14 times since 2020 – most recently setting a best of 6.30m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

He first appeared at the London Stadium in 2017, when he finished ninth at the World Athletics Championships at the age of 17.

A year later, he finished third at the Anniversary Games behind USA’s Sam Kendricks and France’s Renaud Lavillenie.

“It’s been too long since I last competed in London,” said Duplantis.
