Premier League reaction: Villa keep up title pressure as Man Utd lose Fernandes

Morgan Rogers struck twice as Aston Villa extended their winning run to 10 matches in all competitions by beating Manchester United at Villa Park.

Rogers did really well to curl in Villa’s opener from a tight angle before Matheus Cunha capitalised on a Matty Cash error to level things up just before half-time.

United captain Bruni Fernandes was taken off at the break with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

And Villa restored their lead in the 57th minute with another great Rogers finish.
