Stephan Lewies: Ex-Harlequins captain to leave club and join Sharks at end of season

Former club captain Stephan Lewies will leave Harlequins at the end of the season to return to Sharks in his native South Africa.

The 33-year-old second row moved to Twickenham Stoop in 2019 and won the Premiership title as captain in 2020-21.

Lewies has made 88 appearances in seven seasons with Harlequins.

“I reflect on my seven years at the club with a huge amount of gratitude. I arrived at the club in 2019 with a few suitcases and a girlfriend, I’m leaving the club with a lot of memories, new friends, a wife and baby,” he told the club’s website, external.

“My time at Quins has been unbelievable. It’s hard to put it into words really and say thank you enough, but gratitude is the word that comes to mind and a lot of pride as well.

  • I think everything published made a bunch of sense. However, consider this,
what if you were to write a killer headline?
I ain’t suggesting your information is not good., but suppose you added a headline to possibly grab people’s attention? I mean Stephan Lewies:
Ex-Harlequins captain to leave club and join Sharks at end of
season – Extreme Sports is a little plain. You might peek at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create news
titles to grab viewers interested. You might add a video
or a related picture or two to get readers excited about what you’ve got to say.
Just my opinion, it might bring your website a little bit more interesting.
