Those in charge at Wolves have been quietly pleased with Edwards’ work, recognising the amount of effort which has gone into trying to turn around a ship which was sinking fast.
Wolves are still bottom and 14 points adrift of 17th as it stands – no-one expects them to survive – but it is vital they show fight in the second half of the season so Edwards and the squad can regroup in the summer without too many mental scars from this season.
