Peter Siddle: Ex-Australia international joins Notts Outlaws at the age of 41

Siddle retired from international cricket in 2019, having taken 238 wickets in 89 appearances across all formats for his country.

Moores says the two years he spent working with Siddle at Melbourne convinced him to try get the pace bowler to “rekindle his association” with Notts.

“His whole approach to playing and training has allowed him to extend his career, and he’s now bowling as well as he ever has,” Moores added.

Siddle says he “felt great” during his most recent Big Bash campaign, having claimed 16 wickets at an average of 17 runs.

“It’s been great to work with Peter Moores at the Stars over the last couple of seasons, so I’m excited to continue that link-up,” he said.

Siddle be available for all of Notts’ 12 T20 Blast group games, starting with their match against Yorkshire on 22 May, and will stay on for any potential knockout fixtures.
