‘We can’t take good performances for granted’published at 19:29 GMT
St Mirren v Motherwell (19.30)
Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: “All the games we’ve played against them have been lively and
intense and we expect the same tonight.
“We need to be on top of them and give them very little time
to set up their direct play and overload on the last line. We need to stop
their ability to get the ball forward and have numbers around for the second ball.
“And we need to be extremely good on the ball.
“Of course, we know we are in a good place as a football club
and we’re still building and improving. That’s the main thing, that we keep
developing and sharpening up because that’s going to be so important at this
stage of the season that we’re on an upward spiral.
“We try not to speculate too much because we can get ahead of
ourselves and you can take for granted a top performance. We can’t do that.”
