Leicester Tigers: Geoff Parling says his side know what is on the line in Prem Cup semi-final

Tigers won seven of their eight group games to finish top of Pool B ahead of regional rivals Northampton Saints.

While the Prem Cup is a competition that Parling has handed the reins over to his support staff to lead, with assistant coaches Neil Fowkes and Alex Davies stepping up at different times, it could deliver the first piece of silverware since the decorated former Tigers player returned to the club as boss.

While winning the cup would be a milestone achievement for the rookie head coach just six months into the job, it is not a distraction.

Parling confirmed that the side he sends out against Bath will reflect the one that has been relied on all competition, with a mixture of the club’s international talent and vast experience melded together with emerging talent.

“It’s a great challenge against a top team,” Parling said.

“We know what’s coming. They have a good ability to create and squeeze a team out of nothing.

“It’s a good challenge and we are tough to beat at home in front of our faithful at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.”
