Liverpool’s Conor Bradley announces successful knee surgery

Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley says he has had a successful operation on his season-ending knee injury.

The 22-year-old will miss the rest of the campaign after he was injured in Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at Arsenal last week.

Bradley confirmed the surgery on his Instagram account alongside a picture of him being taken off the Emirates Stadium pitch on a stretcher.

“A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now,” he posted.

“It won’t be for a little while but I already can’t wait to get back playing for Liverpool and Northern Ireland. Thank you for all of the support.”

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli issued an apology to Bradley following the match for attempting to push him off the pitch after he went down injured.

Bradley will miss Northern Ireland’s World Cup 2026 play-off semi-final against Italy on 26 March. The winner faces either Wales or Bosnia and Herzegovina in a play-off final.
